Key West

Well, we made it! 28 hours round trip in the car (and Maya was an ANGEL) and a whirlwind weekend, but Key West was a blast. Even better than I expected. Sarah and Peter got hitched without a hitch. The bride was BEAUTIFUL, as you can see below. Everyone had such a fun time. Here are some pics from the weekend.

Key West or BUST

We are packing up and heading out...Key West here we come. The Mason+McMorrow wedding weekend is almost officially here. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the 15 hour road trip is good to us. I have my ipod loaded up and hopefully Miss Maya will sleep most of the way. Either way, LOVE will be in the air when we get there! Hey, I've got a bachelorette to send off.

Where Did September Go??

It has been 2 months since my last blog post! How did that happen...where did the time go? We have had a very busy 2 months. Starting with our trip to WA in August. Cascade Dreaming = Cascade Vacation!! Here are some pics:

We had such a fun vacation and didn't want to come home...but of course we had to. And now here we are and fall is here which means a few important things. #1 FOOTBALL!! #2 Sarah & Peter's Wedding - Key West here we come & #3 HALLOWEEN!! So much excitement.

Dress Up

Having a girl just gets better and better. We have recently discovered the love of playing dress up! This kept Maya occupied for an hour a few days ago...and an hour is a really LONG time to keep an 11 month old occupied. Too much fun. I just love this baby more and more every single day.

Firecrackers!

Some very cute pics from 4th of July. We had a great time at D.P. hanging with family. Of course, I am looking at these pictures still not able to believe how big these kids are getting! Maya and Gabriel both cut their first teeth on the 4th (why wouldn't they - parallel cousins). Maya has since cut 2 more!! She is also walking ALL OVER THE PLACE, can't slow this girl down. It was really a great weekend, one of those that will go down in the books.

Maiden Voyage

For Mother's Day Maya got her maiden voyage on Grampy's boat. It was perfect. After doing some swimming and eating a cuban, she passed out in the beach tent. My favorite is the mini beach chair she is sitting in. Ahhhh...summer....beach....boating...baby...I'm in heaven!!

Poppy's B-Day

We headed to Northport for Poppy's B-day. It has taken me forever to get these pics uploaded, but well worth the wait. Maya had so much fun playing and swimming with her cousins Kelsey & Trent. How cute is that bikini??? She also had her first taste at Mimi's biscuits and fell in love. She is the third generation Hyche baby to chow down in that highchair. It was a great weekend!

Love Birds

Such an occasion deserves its own post...announcing the newly engaged! :) I am so glad Pete passed the interview and accepted the job offer. We warned him about the stipulation of the offer...this family is a PACKAGE DEAL. I am so glad we didn't scare the poor guy away.

Corruption At Its Finest

Some of you may know that I gave up fast food as my new year's resolution. Well, 3 months and 20 days in, I am still holding strong. However, when Grammy and Grampy asked to take Maya to McD's on Saturday with her cousins I couldn't refuse. So Tia Sarah went along and introduced Maya to FRENCH FRIES!!! It was love at first taste. *****Notice that sparkle on Tia Sarah's left hand??? YEP, she's getting hitched! CONGRATS SARAH & PETE!!*****

I logged into my blog today and realized it has been an entire month since I've posted. What a blog slacker I have been. But for good reason. Beach Day Take Two

Yesterday was another beautiful spring day in the Panhandle, so we headed back to the beach. This time Chris got in on the fun. He even went swimming, the water was "warm" to him at 65 degrees. YIKES! Maya and I stuck to dipping toes only. The Hyches are definitely taking advantage of this warm spring weather.

Beach Bunny

Maya and some of her friends had a play date at the beach today. I can't believe she actually wore those sun glasses. Don't they make her look oh so cool? She might even like them because she left them on her head and did not try to eat them. As you can see in pic #1...she is full on crawling since yesterday. She was on the move today - LOVING the sand and even dipped her toes in the water. Pic #3 is Maya and her pal Melia - they are totally posing pretty for the camera!!

Cousins!

Maya got a little quality time with her parallel cuz today. She was enthralled with him, and he even smiled at her a little bit. What cutie pies we have on our hands!

7 Months Old

Maya Rose is 7 months old today...ALREADY!! Standing is her new favorite pastime. It happened again today for a couple of seconds. We also went to the Dr. today and she weighs 15 lbs 11 ozs. and is 26 inches. Chunky Monkey! Can't believe our little girl is already 7 months. Time really does fly when you are having fun.

I thought this picture was really cute. She discovered her tongue this weekend when trying to eat dry cheerios. Thanks for the pictures, Poppy!
